    About FrameSmiths

    Filmmakers whowork with AI.

FrameSmiths was founded by two people who spent their careers making commercials, broadcast and film the traditional way, and saw what AI could do in the hands of people who already knew how to tell a story.

    Why we started

Brands needed more films than the old model could make, without giving up the craft.

Brands need more than they used to: more versions, more formats, more markets and more ideas tried before one is chosen. Traditional production cannot scale that way without the cost scaling with it.

AI changes the economics, but only in the right hands. A model can render a beautiful frame; it cannot tell you which frame the story needs, cast the right face, hold a character together across forty shots, or know when the cut is finished. That is still the work of filmmakers.

So that is what FrameSmiths is: a production company, run by filmmakers, that uses AI the way a crew uses a camera. We are based in Calgary and work with brands and agencies across Canada and the United States.

    The people behind it

    Jeff Bradshaw, Co-Founder

    Jeff Bradshaw

    Co-Founder

Jeff has spent more than thirty years in the video production and media industry and has watched storytelling move from film to digital and now to AI. He founded V Strategies, the Calgary production company that is now part of Joe Media Group.

He sees AI as a force multiplier for human imagination, not a replacement for it, and holds the work to the standard production has always had: it has to land, it has to look right, and it has to arrive when it was promised.

    Trevor Seeley, Co-Founder

    Trevor Seeley

    Co-Founder

Trevor brings more than a decade of feature film and commercial production, with a background in directing, writing and creative strategy. He built the channel that first proved AI filmmaking could hold an audience: more than 200,000 subscribers and 74 million views in its first three months.

At FrameSmiths he leads creative and production, from casting and character design through to the final grade.

    How we use AI

    Four rules we keep

AI video is new enough that clients reasonably ask how it is being used. These are the answers we give.

    01

    People direct, AI renders

Every creative decision is made by a person: the story, the casting, the look, the cut. AI makes the frames we ask for.

    02

    Consent for real people

A real person’s face or voice appears only with their permission, and never as a lookalike of someone who did not agree to it.

    03

    Truthful about products

Products, claims and places are shown as they really are. Where guidance calls for a disclosure, we flag it before anything runs.

    04

    Honest about limits

We tell you what AI does well, what it does not, and when a camera and a crew are the better answer.

    Production partners

Real crews when the film needs them

FrameSmiths works hand in hand with Joe Media Group and its video agency, V Strategies. AI handles what would be impractical to shoot; when a project needs a camera crew, a location shoot or aerials, we make it together.

We also work with agencies as their AI production arm, under their creative or under their name. Agency partnerships.
